Do you remember what it was like in middle school and high school? It’s a challenging time to fit in, navigate socially and academically and feel confident. Now imagine if you were from a family who struggles to pay rent or the electrical bill? Chances are you were not going to ask your parents for $100 football cleats or $60 for the yearbook you worked on. Or worse, how would you feel if you lacked the basics like a pair of shoes that didn’t have holes or a winter coat?

At the beginning of each school year, InvestED provides funding to partner secondary schools. During the year, local school personnel trained as InvestED coordinators help individual students in need. InvestED funds can be used to cover costs for academic testing fees, sports equipment, activity fees, renting musical instruments, field trips, clothing, basic needs and much more.
During the 2019-20 school year, InvestED provided $1,431,162 in program support to 637 partner schools, and assisted 132,876 students in need of urgent support.
